Over 30 years of experience have taught me that we're ALL capable of healing and creating positive change, even at the cellular level, and recent findings in neuroscience support that belief. Overcoming my own health and emotional challenges and discovering greater well-being using the methods I'm here to share with you, has made me a true believer!

Who I work with

I'm a New York State Licensed Psychologist located in the Albany area, but with online sessions, I am able to work with all New Yorkers. I am also licensed to offer virtual services to individuals living in Vermont. In certain circumstances, I am able to work with people who live in other states.

I work with adults aged 21+. I do not work with couples, children, or adolescents. I also do not work with active substance abuse as I do not have the specialized training and experience required to support individuals dealing with the challenges of this specific impairment.

Getting Started

The best way to make your initial contact with me is by completing the very brief and confidential Client Contact Form.

From there, we'll schedule a free phone consultation that will last up to 15 minutes. In that time, we'll briefly discuss what you're seeking to accomplish, whether I might be a good match for your needs, and logistics. If you prefer, this can be done via email.

The Process

Once we schedule an appointment, I'll send you an invitation to my secure client portal, where you'll access your paperwork. That's where you'll be able to sign onto your sessions.

My practice is currently online only. Sessions are conducted via an easy to navigate, HIPAA compliant platform, so you don't have to leave your home or office. Online sessions are so safe, simple, and convenient. My clients have been loving it!

Depending on your goals and the issues you are seeking to address, our work together may last just a few sessions or can continue for significantly longer. When we begin working together, we will establish clear goals for therapy which will include whether you are seeking short-term consultation for a specific issue or a longer-term supportive relationship. In any case, we generally begin with weekly meetings, and as you get closer to your goals, we decrease the frequency to biweekly or monthly.

Sessions are approximately 55 minutes long.

My Style

My background is in Mind-Body approaches including meditation, breathwork, and hypnotherapy. I am also qualified in Energy Psychology, Cognitive-Behavioral Psychology, Positive Psychology, and Coaching. My work with you may include a combination of psychoeducation, skills training, coaching, mentoring, or more traditional psychotherapy.

My style is down-to-earth, compassionate, and never judgmental. Each client relationship is unique, and my top priority is making sure you feel safe, heard, and understood.

Fees

My fee is $200 per session. You may purchase blocks of sessions and be eligible for a discount.

Your health insurance policy may cover our work together.

I am currently in-network with:

  • CDPHP
  • Highmark/Blue Shield of Northeastern New York

I am also in-network with the following providers through my partnership with Headway.

  • Aetna
  • Cigna
  • Oscar Health
  • Oxford
  • United Healthcare
  • Empire Blue Cross Blue Shield

If you participate in any of the plans listed above, you may be responsible for a copayment or deductible. The amount you will be responsible for is dictated by your insurance plan and I am required to collect it.

I don't accept other insurance plans at present but at your request will provide you with a statement you can send to your insurance company to get reimbursed for some of the costs of therapy.

If you don't intend to use insurance, click here to understand your rights to receive a "Good Faith Estimate" of costs.

Payment is required at the time of service. I will charge your credit card on file at the end of your session.

Cancellation Policy

Since the scheduling of an appointment involves the reservation of time specifically for you, a minimum of 24 hours notice is required for rescheduling or canceling an appointment. Failing to do so will result in a no-show/late cancellation fee of $100, not billable to insurance.
