Psychotherapy or Coaching?

The main difference between psychotherapy and coaching is that therapy is for women experiencing challenges that are impacting their ability to function, and coaching is for women who are doing alright but want more from themselves and their lives. It's similar to the difference between physical therapy and fitness coaching. Physical therapy is for people looking to recover from a physical injury or limitation, and fitness coaching is for people looking to improve their fitness or achieve optimal fitness.

Additionally, psychotherapy may be covered in part or even completely by your health insurance plan while coaching is not covered by health insurance.

If you're not sure which is right for you, that's ok, because my work is tailored for each client. And here's a little secret: there's a lot of overlap between therapy and coaching strategies.
